I'm so lucky to have had a job for more than thirty years that has involved living and working at the far corners of this planet. The other day I came across a diary from one of my epic adventures in the jungle of Sumatra. How quickly the memories of the things I've seen and done are fading. The food, the beasts, memorable people, unforgetable taxi journeys - I should write it down before I start getting too senile and the adventures blur into the stuff of dreams.
This is a blog for me. My place to dump some of those memories. It's what I'll do when I can in 2012.
